My name is Mohamad Haizal bin Mohamad Rosdi, I am 19 years old, and I am the founder of the fast‐growing local brand—Ayam Gepuk Maknek.

Ayam Gepuk Maknek officially began operations on February 21, 2024, at Lorong 22, Taman Desa Ilmu, Kota Samarahan. I created this brand with the determination to introduce a fried-chicken dish that’s not only delicious but also captures the authentic flavors of Malay culinary heritage.

Our signature dish, Ayam Gepuk, is marinated in a special spice blend developed after five months of research and development. The sambal is made fresh daily by grinding ripe chilies to ensure a bold, mouth-watering heat in every serving.

The name “Maknek” honors my grandmother’s nickname—an expression of gratitude to the family who have been the backbone of this venture. It’s more than just a name; it symbolizes love, sincerity, and the recipe heritage I’m proud to preserve and share.
